Getting startedSet up endpoint visibility and alerts in ~2 minutes.

What you need
Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
- A FortiSense account
- A Windows or Linux endpoint
- Admin access to install the agent
Install the agent
Windows
MSI- Download the MSI installer
- Run the installer as admin
- The FortiSense service starts automatically
Linux (Debian)
deb- Download the .deb package
- Install
- FortiSense service starts automatically
sudo dpkg -i fortisense_x.x.x_xxx.deb
Next step
EnrolAfter installation, enrol the device to link it to your account.
Enrol & approve your device
After install, the agent generates an enrolment code.
- Go to Add a device
- Enter the code
- Approve the device to link it to your account
What happens next
Once enrolled, you’ll see:
- Device inventory appear in the dashboard
- Telemetry begin uploading
- Alerts generated based on observed behaviour and risk signals
Tip
NoiseIn the first day, alerts may be noisier until you add ignore rules and trusted publishers.

Does FortiSense replace antivirus?
No, it complements AV by surfacing early risk signals and giving explainable context.
Is it safe to run on servers?
Yes, servers run without the UI tray and the agent is designed to be lightweight.
What if my device goes offline?
The agent continues running and uploads telemetry once connectivity resumes.
